The ambition is to care for this small portfolio for the long term, preserving as much as possible while improving the homes and the natural setting around them.
For Casa Serafini and Villa Valle, progress means thoughtful choices: using resources more carefully, respecting the character of the buildings and giving guests a closer connection to the land. The outdoor projects below are envisioned for Villa Valle and its grounds.
These are plans for the future. The new facilities and experiences are not yet available to book.
01 / LASTING CARE
We plan to introduce solar panels and improve energy efficiency, with the aim of reducing reliance on grid electricity. Their position and appearance will be considered carefully alongside the character of the houses and the views from the grounds.
Preservation comes first: retain and repair what can serve for years to come, choose durable materials where improvements are needed, and make the outdoor spaces work better with their surroundings.
That same approach extends to the land. We want to protect established trees, strengthen the planting and give more attention to shade, water use and the quality of the landscape.
02 / ROOM TO BREATHE
A generous outdoor deck is planned as a place for small retreats, yoga and quiet gatherings, with a panoramic view across the hills.
The intention is a simple, beautiful space that feels part of its setting: natural materials, an open horizon and enough room to move, pause and spend time together. Morning practice, a slow afternoon or an evening looking out over the valley could each find a place here.
Planned for Villa Valle03 / AMONG THE OLIVE TREES
We envision a substantial, professionally designed and built swimming pool, set naturally among the olive trees. The ambition is an inviting place to swim and spend the day, with the landscape always in view.
Carefully chosen finishes, efficient circulation and thoughtful water management are part of the design brief. Terraces and planting should bring the pool into the garden and preserve the quiet character of the grounds.
THE LAND, THROUGH THE SEASONS
We want a stay here to offer more than a view, with seasonal experiences connected to the countryside and its produce.
04 / TRUFFLE HUNTS
We plan to organise guided truffle hunts with local specialists and their trained dogs. A chance to walk through the countryside, learn how truffles are found and experience a local tradition at its own pace.
Each outing would follow the season and the conditions in the woods, with respect for the land at the centre of the experience.
05 / FROM TREE TO TABLE
We want to invite guests to join the olive harvest: spreading the nets, picking the fruit and sharing in the rhythm of an autumn day among the trees.
The plan is to have our own harvest pressed into olive oil, connecting the care of the grounds with something tangible to enjoy at the table. From the first olives picked to the first taste of the new oil, it is a way to share what this place produces.
